The Vision-Oriented Empath
The Vision-Oriented Empath experiences the emotions and information of others in a pattern of pictures, colors, vibrancies, and expressions. They can pick up those micro-expressions of the face, the body language of another, and some will even see the aura or colors that surround someone.
A Vision-Oriented Empath may gain an understanding of the emotions of others by seeing the world around them and gaining insight through external visual stimulation: seeing another person face to face, watching a video, or seeing pictures.
They may also gain compassion through internal visual input: a mental picture based on visual cues and words, that paint clearly for them the emotional state of another person.
A Vision-Oriented Empath will be triggered most often by seeing another person in need, and then experiencing that need as if it was their own. They can be moved to tears through watching the pain of another, and can often feel the pain of another after they see it firsthand.
They experience deep compassion, but may never actually feel it in their heart. The sense and emotional state of their existence can all be experienced in their mind’s eye and make the world seem dark and unwelcoming.
They will often use descriptive words that paint a picture to describe the emotions they experience. They can see the pain in flashes of insight… and often can see emotions in a variety of colors and whether that emotion is lighter, brighter and vibrant or it is dark, dreary, or harsh.
A Vision-Oriented Empath doesn’t have to be in the presence of another person to experience empathy. They may hear of another’s sorrows and that brings the picture of that person to their mind and triggers their compassion.
Like any Empath, the emotions of others can be overwhelming. Often the Vision-Oriented Empath will experience this overwhelm as a swirling vortex of colors and symbols of emotion that crowds their mind and vision and makes it hard for them to see clearly. It can produce headaches, and brain fog.
Sometimes, they will experience the sensation of “looking through another’s eyes” and it can be very disconcerting.
When a Vision-Oriented Empath realizes that they can use the visual cues they experience to gain control of how their brain processes the world around them, they experience an awakening of creativity and fun. They can change the colors, add light, throw in some sparkles, or send the darkness away.
